We are pleased to announce that Daisuke and Yuma Tomiyasu Two Man Show "RAW ⇔ AGING (Disposable and Portraiture)" will be held at Space Wunderkammer.

This is a touring exhibition of Daisuke and Yuma Tomiyasu Two Man Show "DARK ⇔ POP (Curse and Vanguard)" which was held at TAG STÅ Gallery in Fukuoka in the last December.

Daisuke uses cheep commodities sometimes sold at hundred-yen stores and composes them in his sculptures. Tomiyasu's drawings are produced by wiping off and by painting over printed images of old photos of unknown portraits that were collected from antique markets. In this exhibition, their works interrupt each other in a good way and attempt to create one space interactively.

Also, this is the first two man show in Space Wunderkammer by Daisuke and Tomiyasu who are both the directors of this space. We would be glad if you would come and enjoy the exhibition.

Koichi Mitsuoka is an emerging artist who is currently a MA student at Tokyo University of the Arts.
By crossing various media such as painting, photography, film, and sculpture, Mitsuoka's work
sophisticatedly closes on the objects. This approach embodies images with boisterousness and eeriness
while coming and going between imagery and facts.

“Approaching speed by connecting to the personal memories in childhood about superhighways,
such as music played in the car, service areas at night, car lights, and accidents.”

Kanae Takeshi Hayashi pulls off the seemingly impossible - to express speed in two dimensions.
Consisting of outstanding lines and colors, the speed appears in her paintings as strong expressions we have never seen.
Don’t miss the must-see show by a promising new star for the next generation.

The solo show of Maiki Ogawa, who newly graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts
with a MA in 2014. The show will be an installation work consisting of sculptures.
Ogawa’s work always seems to be mystifying the viewers. There is a strange distance
between the work and the viewers, who will be tricked if they try to see and know what
his work is. The work is, however, based on intellect and careful observation, and you
will be thrilled if you come to know what his work is about.

The first solo show of Shiori Higashiyama who is currently studying for a MA in
Oil Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts. The show will be an installation
work consisting of drawings and sculptures.
Higashiyama said about the title: “I am very concerned about a twinkle deep
in one's eyes, and thinking that how they live their lives to keep those beautiful
eyes, or that I do not want to have someone's nasty eyes. I personally named
the state of eyes getting nasty or dull “dissolved”. I wish weak and little beings
like hinagiku (daisy) to be having glitters in their eyes like a gem, so I titled
the exhibition “Tokenai Hinagiku (Undissolved Daisy)”.
Her work is made from very personal and reflective motivation, but the
representation has universal beauty with verve and wonderment like Henry
Darger’s drawings. We are always fascinated by the Cyclops girls drawn with
her exceptional chromatic sensation and expressiveness.
